Enhance Prompt

The Enhance Prompt feature in Sypha helps you refine your requests before sending them to the AI. Clicking the sparkle icon (sparkle icon) in the chat input automatically rephrases your prompt to be clearer, more specific, and more context-aware.

Why Use Enhance Prompt?

• Improved Clarity: Rephrases vague requests into actionable instructions.
• Added Context: Automatically incorporates relevant file paths or code snippets into the request.
• Better Formatting: Guides the AI to provide structured or high-detail responses.
• Consistency: Ensures the underlying AI model receives prompts in an optimized format.

How to Use

1. Type: Enter a basic request in the chat input box.
2. Click: Click the sparkle icon (sparkle icon) in the bottom-right corner.
3. Review: The input text will be replaced with an enhanced version. You can edit it further or send it immediately.

Customization

Prompt Template

You can modify the "Support Prompt" for the Enhance feature in the Prompts tab. This allows you to define exactly how Sypha should rephrase your inputs.

Custom Profile

To make enhancement faster and cheaper, you can create a dedicated API Configuration Profile using a smaller, faster model (e.g., GPT-4o-mini or Claude 3 Haiku) specifically for the enhancement process.

Best Practices

• Review Always: Sypha might sometimes over-complicate a simple request; review the enhanced text before sending.
• Iterate: You can enhance an already enhanced prompt for further refinement.
• Still be specific: Starting with a clear thought leads to a better enhanced prompt.
